The mail server upgrade is complete!  The migration from the old server running an outdated version of the iMail mail system software to a brand new, faster server running the latest version of iMail email software went smoothly.  All email, user configuration, address books, and passwords were transferred intact.  The only difference you should notice is improved reliability and speed.  If you use the web interface to read and write your email, you will notice a slightly different look to the interface and a much snappier response time!  Thank you all for your patience during the past weeks of frustration.

Due to increased traffic and load for a variety of reasons,  we have been experiencing unreliable connections with our email servers. We are preparing to upgrade our email servers to faster, more powerful systems with upgraded versions of both post office and web based email software.  This upgrade will provide better performance and improved reliability, as well as additional web mail features.

All user accounts will be transferred with passwords and email intact.  No changes are required to the configuration of your email application.  However, if you are currently storing your email solely on the TeamToucan mail server it would be prudent to download it to your local computer using an email client such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.
